Hello stranger! My name is Tereza (emphasis on the zed) and I'm a 25 year old Czech girl livin' in Birmingham (UK, not AL). I live with my naughty kitten Cookie and my boyfriend who can cook the best dinners in a tiny flat, where I collect all things feline, hang millions of photographs on the walls and sniff old books (but then, who doesn't right?).
What are your most favourite things in the world?
➵ my kitten Cookie (who should be a professional cage cat fighter - he's that mental)
➵ my amazing parents & the kindest boyfriend (I'm a lucky little feck like that)
➵ vintage cameras (I have a collection of 30+ cameras at the moment)
➵ curly moustaches (not on people, oh no)
➵ horses (I'm a horse gal, al'right - I'm not a cray cray case, but my dad sat me on my first pony when I was 3 month old, so yeaaah)
➵ all things DIY (but only when it works out all pretty & functional, when it doesn't I'm cranky - thankfully my DIY sofa from wooden pallets did work out *phew*)
➵ collecting things (one would say I'm a hoarder, I say I'm a collector)
➵ travelling (working in an information centre basically forces you to take as many trips as possible)
➵ lavender (I basically want to live in the middle of the Cotswolds lavender fields)
➵ green pesto (it gives me a heartburn, but that won't stop me, nom nom nom)
➵ condensed milk (I'm Czech - we eat condensed milk instead of sweets)
➵ blogging (doh!)
➵ Justin's dinners (sometimes I'm slightly unsure whether he's not Jamie Oliver in a disguise of a South African)
➵ flea markets & carboot sales (you can see some of my latest finds here & here)
➵ books (apart from sniffin' them, I read them, a lot of them, probably too many of them)
➵ pretty make-up (as pretty as this heart blusher if possible)
➵ cat memorabilia (life is so much brighter with a cat tea pot on your hand & a fluffy hat that makes you look like a kitten!)
➵ photography (leaving the flat without a camera is not an option)
What camera do you use?
Why do you live in the UK?
I came to the UK in 2008 to do my undergraduate degree in tourism (because in Czech Republic there was no similar degree available at the time) - I completed this 3 years later & started my postgraduate degree - which I finished in January 2013. Currently I'm gaining some vital tourism industry experience by working for Birmingham tourism board. Ideally I'm hoping to learn enough to be able to help less developed (or indeed over-developed) tourism destinations. Meanwhile I'm runnin' Cityscape Bliss, takin' Cookie for walks in a local arboretum & paying my bills.
